Lease St. Anne's for your next party
or special occasion!

The St. Anne Church building was relocated to our place in Canton, Mississippi in 1996 when the Bishop made the decision to destroy the building due to vandalism.   Because of the historic nature and personal ties to the building, Greg and Sheila quickly made the decision to relocate St. Anne's.  The 40 foot by 70 foot building has been renovated by Greg and is now available for receptions, dinners, parties, family reunion, company retreats, and other special occasions.   We don't believe that you could find a lovelier setting for your special occasion.

History

In 1837, Peter and Anne Harkins came to Mississippi from Ireland.  A log church was built in 1850.  In 1873, a grand structure replaced it.  Their work ethic made them prosper but the church of this faithful group burned in February, 1937.   One month later, on St. Patrick's Day, they began to dismantle and build anew.   From the wood arches inside to brick arches on the outside, this was a grand structure for the hill farmers of Leake County.  For its protection, the structure has been relocated to Highway 16 in Canton, Mississippi.  Its preservation has begun by Greg Harkins, the great, great, great, great grandson of Peter and Anne.  Funds generated from chair sales have gone towards the restoration of Old St. Anne's building.

Greg and Sheila would love to have you to St. Anne's for your next special occasion.

The Harkins' family is very large and always loves to be with friends and family.   Because of this, we know how to throw a party.  This new location allows you to get out in the country with only a 20 minute drive from Jackson, Mississippi.  Greg and Sheila can cater your occasion or you may want to lease the building and provide your own caterer.

Couple your dinner with a buggy ride and you will have an experience of a lifetime.
